A Golden Achievement

Every year Travel Counsellors hosts a special evening for its top performing agents who have reached the company’s Gold Travel Counsellor status. And this year I was thrilled to be invited along to the event after achieving this status for myself. I have been with Travel Counsellors for 12 years and in this time I have built my business from having zero clients to this level, so it has meant a lot to me to have been recognised for this achievement as it has taken a lot of hard work and dedication to get there!

Whilst being a Travel Counsellor I have had both of my children, who are now eight and ten, and I feel blessed to have been running my business from home during this time, not having to miss spending quality time with them. Last year I made the decision that I wanted to take my business to the next level and so with the support of my amazing Business Development Manager, Gemma, we worked hard to find ways of increasing it. Our technology is fantastic and the newly introduced Quote & Book system has allowed me to make more money whilst offering better value and options for my clients, and this has played a massive part of my business growth.

This year’s Gold dinner was held aboard the beautiful Belmond Northern Belle where we were treated to amazing food, entertainment and, of course, excellent company with my fellow Travel Counsellors, head office staff and directors. Before we boarded the train there was a champagne reception where myself and the other Travel Counsellors that had achieved Gold for the first time received our awards, which is now proudly on display in my office.

I have been to many Travel Counsellors events over the years and the support that we all show each other is like no other company. When it was announced that I had reached Gold I was inundated with congratulatory emails, phones calls and instant messages from Travel Counsellors all over the world, including some that I had never actually met in person. It’s this type of recognition and company spirit which helps to motivate me in building my business, knowing I am part of something special and building a great future for myself and my family. The Gold event really to reinforce this for me and I am looking forward to the next one already!
