Ronel and her hubby are pictured with their 3 gorgeous grand kids, we are waiting patiently to see if any follow in Ronel's footsteps, but we are very sure they will love holidays!

On Sunday the 9th of September it is Grand Parents Day.

Grandparents Day is becoming more and more popular in South Africa.

Many of our Travel Counsellors are grandparents and they absolutely love that they can spoil their grand kids, as well as having the time and flexibility to look after them when they are sick or when their parents want a ‘kid free’ weekend away.
More and more schools are often putting on special days to honour grandparents.

Cheryl Cross told us that it is only now that she is a Travel Counsellor, that she can attend these grandparent days. I absolutely love my time with my grandkids. Cheryl said that in the past when she was working in a retail agency there was absolutely no way that she would have been given the time off to attend grandparent’s day. Now as a Travel Counsellor, she has freedom and flexibility in her life and she can take the time off during the day and then catch up later in the evening.

Charmaine Higgins says that whenever her granddaughter walks in the room and sees Charmaine working on her laptop, her granddaughter asks if she is booking a plane ticket for someone.

Hennie and Rina’s grandchildren came to them daily when they have finished pre-school. My grandkids especially love it when clients pop in with their kids cause then they have a new friend to play with. Rina tells us that she once had a client who was planning her trip to Austria and her granddaughter Ame looked at this lady shaking her head and said; “Sjoe Tannnie maar ja kan baie praat.” Out of the mouths of babes! At that moment Rina said that she was so embarrassed, but fortunately everyone ended up laughing.

George Vermeulen’s recalls his grandson Matthew’s eyes lighting up when he opens his grand dad’s wallet and sees the blue notes (R100.00). Matthew then then turns to George and says, "Grandpa now that you work at home, can you please take us to the shops to buy sweets." Its precious moments like this.

Laura Klapwijk gets to have her grand-kids over at her home every Wednesday – take a listen to her short video as to how much it means to her.

Lynne du Toit earlier this year was able to take a trip to Paris for the birth of her grandchild. As a Travel Counsellor she could stay for as long as she wanted, she didn’t have to put in for leave and she could work in between or otherwise set up her buddy in place.

It’s the special moments like these that our Travel Counsellors cherish and part of the reason why they say that the love what they do and that they will never look back.

If you too would like more time with your family, plus more freedom and more flexibility then please get in touch.
