Meet Ian Keane, our Operations & Corporate Travel Manager

Allow me to introduce My name is Ian Keane.

I joined Travel Counsellors back in April 2011 so have been with the company for going on seven years. Prior to joining Travel Counsellors, I held management Roles at American Express, HRG as well as CWT.

I have also worked for Shell working in procurement so I have firsthand experience of being on the other side of the fence.

My Role as Operations Manager is a dual role, I not only ensure the day to day running of the team, but I also look after the Corporate Sales for South Africa and am responsible for our Gold Travel Counsellors Business Development. (Gold Travel Counsellors are our top TC’s who earn in excess of R1,328,653 in gross Commissions. I work with them to help them to achieve these targets and to help them to grow their business to where they want it to be.

When it comes to corporate travel I assist all our Travel Counsellors with all things Corporate which include;

• Tenders
• SLA’s
• Travel Policies
• To helping our TC’s to create a PowerPoint Presentation

I’m also responsible for our BB-BEE as well as the setting out of our annual service fees.

I’m passionate about the sharing of knowledge and I love helping & seeing others succeed.
