Friday, 27 April 2018
On Friday the 27th of April we celebrate Freedom Day (South Africa’s first non-racial democratic elections of 1994), and we get to celebrate this day with a public holiday, yeah!
For many travel agents working in a retail shopping centre, this might mean that they still need to work on Friday and over the weekend, so they miss out on a long weekend.
Travel Counsellors, on the other hand, have both freedom and flexibility to decide. They can choose to take the time off entirely and to set up a buddy to look after their business for them or they can work on the ‘go’ meaning that they can enjoy the time doing the things that they want to and check their emails and answer calls. All Travel Counsellors systems are set up so that they can work anywhere at any time wherever there is an internet connection.
The dictionary defines Freedom as;
1) A state of being free or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint:
2) exemption from external control, interference, regulation, etc.
3) 3. the power to determine action without restraint.
4) 4. political or national independence.
5) 5. personal liberty, as opposed to bondage or slavery:
6) 6. exemption from the presence of anything specified (usually followed by from): freedom from fear.
7) 7. the absence of or release from ties, obligations, etc.
As you consider Freedom, in light of your working career – can you say that you get to enjoy freedom, or do you find more and more that you are constrained or limited?
What could freedom look like in your life?
Each Travel Counsellor has said goodbye to restrictions and limitations and has said HELLO to FREEDOM and FLEXIBILITY along with so much more…
At Travel Counsellors, we don’t believe that you need to choose between a rewarding career and a fulfilling personal life…
You can have both as a Travel Counsellor. In fact, having the ability to work in a way that fits around your lifestyle is the number one reason why our Travel Counsellors made the life-changing decision to start their own home-based travel businesses.
With no daily commute, not being tied to a physical office and no more traditional 8 to 5 working hours, it’s not hard to see why 96% of them agree with the statement 'I love my job'.
As a Travel Counsellor, you will run your own travel business from home, with the full support of an award-winning, global travel company. As a Travel Counsellor, I get to spend so much more time with my children, taking and fetching them from school, watching sports practices and matches and being at home with them to help them with their homework. I exercise 5 days a week and feel strong and healthy. These are all things that I never had the chance to do before.
