26 Jul 2018
In light of the recent announcement of the closure of Virgin Atlantic’s Crawley contact centre, we’re holding a special event at 6.30pm on Thursday 26th July to offer our support and advice to anyone who has been affected.
“We're keen to showcase the opportunity of taking control of your own career and building a business as a Travel Counsellor. Our Travel Counsellors come from many backgrounds, but they all have the desire and passion for providing a highly personal service, placing the care for the customer at the heart of what we do. We want to encourage those with the same passion and drive to come along to the open session to find out more
The last thing we want is for talented travel professionals to leave an industry they love because of these unfortunate circumstances. Regardless of their decision we want to be there to provide guidance, expertise and information from our people who have made the move to run their own business, as well as those that provide support in all areas to enable them to do this. This includes knowledge around Job seeking, CVs, interview skills and opportunities that may be available across the industry.
As a business that puts caring for its Travel Counsellors, Employees and Customers at its core we feel the Open Day also allows us to give some support to our Industry colleagues in these difficult times." Kirsten Hughes, UK Managing Director
What will the session consist of?
During our event, we'll sharing our knowledge and experience of the industry to help you explore your career options in travel. We'll provide impartial advice about where to look for new opportunities, as well as offering practical support around CV preparation, interview skills and how to position yourself in the job market.
The event is also an opportunity to learn more about starting your own home-based travel business and the different routes we have available to become a Travel Counsellor.
