Anjie Naughton- “I have been a Travel Counsellor for nearly 17 years and when I joined things were very different. I wasn’t a cruise specialist at first but as I booked more and more cruises I found that specialising in the one area helped grow my business as I could concentrate on keeping up to date with all the cruise offers and new developments.  I prefer to specialise in and be an expert in one area rather than spread myself and be a master of none.  Once I made that decision I have not looked back and my business has grown over the years as the cruise industry is also going from strength to strength in the UK.

We have the use of all the tools of the trade to make our job easier including POLAR, Amadeus and the other cruise company booking sites – also our in-house system allows us to create tailor made packages which work better for our customers and for us. We get invited on many ship visits, launches and educationals to keep up to date with all the latest goings on.

Even so, I do get enquiries for travel other than cruise and am able to also book these, there is no restriction on what you can book, and it is up to you.

Caroline Howden- “Saying why I love my job is easy, I love being a Travel Counsellors, being a Travel Counsellor that specialises in cruise, is easy because cruising is a very positive part of the travel business to be involved in. The cruise market continues to grow and develop, new ships and new destinations for customers to explore. Cruising is a holiday for everyone, families, couples, singles, groups - anyone can be a cruise customer. 

What we do best is we look after our customers, we get to know what they want, which cruise would suit them best, get that right and they will come back time after time. Cruise customers are loyal once they have found someone they trust and who knows what they are talking about.
